Abélard
à partir de 74,00 €

Our top-rated flagship old-vine Grenache and Syrah blend,
our version of a Southern Rhône classic.

DESCRIPTION
We named our Grenache blend after the famed philosopher Pierre Abélard to reflect its forceful, brooding intensity and gravitas. Our old Grenache vines flourish at this high altitude. At harvest the scent of wild strawberries and black fruit wafts through the winery. We strive to capture and showcase this highly perfumed aroma, then add a splash of Syrah to add to the complex structure.

We produce this wine as an ‘homage’ to the original Abélard and Héloïse, whose unwavering commitment to each other is mirrored in our own convictions. To read their story, click here.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Abélard likes “fur”, pairing well with roasts, like venison and beef, and slow-roasted vegetables. It’s also a great match for spicy foods and flavorful cheeses, such as Roquefort and Stilton. Decant for several hours and serve at room temperature or slightly cooler. Ageing potential: 25-30 years.

Héloïse
à partir de 74,00 €

Our top-rated Syrah & Grenache with a splash of aromatic white, our tip of the hat to the wines of the Northern Rhône.

DESCRIPTION
Refined, with unwavering elegance, our Syrah blend is named after the brilliant and beautiful Héloïse d’Argenteuil for its balance of concentration, restraint and ripe, supple texture. Our fine Syrah blends beautifully with the highly perfumed old-vine Grenache but also blossoms with the floral notes of our high-altitude white varieties, like Viognier or Roussanne, bringing Héloïse stylistically closer to her cousins in the Northern Rhône.

We produce this wine as an ‘homage’ to the original Abélard and Héloïse, whose unwavering commitment to each other is mirrored in our own convictions. To read their story, click here.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Héloïse likes “feathers”, especially goose, duck or turkey with all the trimmings. It also pairs beautifully with lamb or stuffed mushrooms. Decant for several hours, and serve at room temperature or slightly cooler. Ageing potential: 25-30 years.

Astralabe
à partir de 21,00 €

The “teenager” of our family of reds,
a lively and expressive Grenache-Syrah blend.

DESCRIPTION
In real life, Astralabe was the son of famous medieval lovers Héloïse and Abélard, who gave their names to our twin flagship reds. This cuvée, younger in age and in spirit than its complex collectible “parents,” is our vibrant yet easy-drinking Grenache-Syrah blend.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Perfect for everyday cuisine or with fresh Mediterranean fare. Well paired ideally with red or white meat, grilled fish and olive oil-based cuisine. Serve at room temperature or slightly cooler.

Rêve de Scipion
43,00 €

Our newest addition to the range and our first GSM blend.

DESCRIPTION
Inspired by The Dream of Scipio, Cicero’s meditation on the guiding values and decisions that shape a life well lived. The oak-aged Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (“GSM”, aka the ‘Holy Trinity’ of blends) reveal a graceful layering of ripe red and black fruit, lifted by elegant spice, freshness from the mountain terroir, and a long finish.  Harnessing the notoriously late-ripening Mourvèdre at Chene Bleu can be challenging because of the cooler temperatures at altitude, but after several attempts they finally took root.  The velvety tannins, spices and meaty notes enhance this wine’s complexity and balance.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
A versatile companion to red meat and Mediterranean cuisine-- grilled lamb chops, seared tuna steak, roasted vegetables, cheese or even a decadent dessert of red fruits and dark chocolate... Best served just below room temperature, after decanting.  Aging potential: 10-12 years.

Aliot
39,00 €

Our rich and complex white wine that’s the perfect accompaniment to succulent dishes.

DESCRIPTION
A blend of Roussanne complemented by Grenache Blanc and Marsanne, Aliot is perfumed and powerful. Its rich concentration of fruit and dense structure make it an ideal candidate for oak-aging, which we employ to craft a true vin-de-garde. Its complexity, exotic aromatics and long aging potential have made Aliot an award-winning wine since its inaugural vintage.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Burgundy-style white, pairs beautifully with salmon or poultry in white sauce, pâté, vegetables such as asparagus and artichokes and traditional French cheeses. Serve lightly chilled at 14°C. Aging potential: 10-12 years.

Viognier
35,00 €

Our elegant and fresh Viognier that shows the
juxtaposition of being in the hot south at high altitude.

DESCRIPTION
As grapes go, Viognier is more finicky than most. Too much sun sends the aromatics into overdrive, while too little can yield wines nearly devoid of character. But once again, owing to our altitude and extreme diurnal range, we are able to thread the needle, crafting a wine with voluptuous texture, fresh acidity and beguiling aromas of flowers and honey. Indeed, a veritable ‘tip of the hat’ to the Viogniers of the Northern Rhône.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Perfect for aperitifs. Also pairs excellently with poultry, fried foie gras, white fish with crème, fresh ceviche, seafood tartare or blue cheeses. Serve slightly chilled at 14°C.

Astralabe Blanc
à partir de 21,00 €

This wine is concentrated with aromas of rich fruit, white blossoms and sweet spice. Well structured and balanced, this is a wine for all occasions.

DESCRIPTION
The first vintage of this new tiny-production white wine was in 2019. A blend of mostly Grenache Blanc, with some smaller additions of Rolle (Vermentino), Clairette, Roussanne and Viognier, it is the little sister of our Grenache/Syrah Astralabe Rouge. With floral notes and hints of peach and white pears, this full-bodied, complex and aromatic wine has refreshing acidity, a rich mouth-feel and a long finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Pairs perfectly with seasonal dishes including fish, shellfish and white meats. Ideal with Mediterranean cuisine or mixed salads. Serve lightly chilled at 14°C. Ageing potential: 2-5 years.

Le Rosé
22,00 €

Our food-friendly Rosé is made from old vines and a gentle direct press.

DESCRIPTION
Le Rosé is produced with the utmost respect for both the environment and the consumer. Old-vine Grenache blended with Syrah, Cinsault and a dash of Mourvèdre and Rolle (Vermentino) are gently pressed, fermented for 3 weeks at low temperatures, then fined using organic green pea powder, making this a vegan-friendly wine for the 21st century. Its rich texture and complexity, long finish and ageability make this a rosé that is designed to pair with food all throughout the year.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Ideal with seafood and shellfish but also a perfect accompaniment to lightly spiced dishes, summer salads or tender lamb. Serve at 14°C. Aging potential: 3-5 years.

Pont des Arts Rouge - Mondrian
50,00 €

The fruit of a collaboration between Thibault Pontallier of Château Margaux and Chêne Bleu to create the first Rhône wine for the line.

DESCRIPTION
The launch of the first ever Rhône blend in the prestigious Pont des Arts wine collection marks a departure from the traditional regions in their portfolio, venturing beyond Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne to a remote and rugged part of the southern Rhône Valley.

The 2015 cuvée is a blend of Grenache (55%), Syrah (35%) and Mourvèdre (5%). The grapes are grown more than 500 metres (1,640ft) above sea level on steep, rocky slopes, producing a red wine that is suave and elegant, with refined tannins and a fine line of acidity.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Pairs well with barbecues, roasted vegetables and traditional Mediterranean dishes - including pizza! Decant for several hours, and serve at room temperature or cooler. Ageing potential: 12-15 years.

THE ART
Piet Mondrian, Tableau I with Black, Red, Yellow, Blue and Light Blue – 1921
Pont des Arts bridges the worlds of art and wine, and this latest addition to the range bears the angular forms of Piet Mondrian's now iconic three-color work. It is a little-known fact that as a struggling artist in Paris after World War I, Mondrian considered moving to the south of France to live with a friend and work as an olive or grape picker.

Pont des Arts Rosé - Barceló
28,00 €

DESCRIPTION
Pont des Arts Rosé, a blend of Grenache and Syrah grown in elevated vineyards at approximately 500m above sea level, soil composition is largely of clay and limestone. Radiating bright salmon pink, the nose offers a mélange of citrus, berries and exotic fruits. Chiselled and multi-layered, the palate delivers yet more toothsome fruits with herbs and floral notes against the backdrop of crispy acidity, leading to a long finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
A biodynamic gem versatile enough to be savoured on its own or paired with seafood and white meat. Serving temperature: 12 to 13°C. Drink now to up to 5 years.

THE ART
Miquel Barceló Sin Titulo, 2011, XI
The experience of traversing the globe from Europe to North America to West Africa has left an indelible mark on Miquel Barceló and his art. True to his contemporary universalist style, he employed a variety of materials in layers to create this composition of texture and substance. In delving deep into the infantile memory of mankind at the dawn of civilization when the surrounding flora and fauna had yet to be tamed, the image seems to suggest a bullfighting scene, within its primal power shrouded in memory and myth.
